A Guide To Improving Search Engine Ranking

SEO techniques are wonderful for getting your website to where you want it to go, then there comes a time where SEO begins to just happen naturally.  When you link to your website, it is a good idea to let the search engines know about every single link.  This creates added link value, especially when you bookmark them.  You can do a search online for software to help you out with this step.  Don’t try and side swipe the search engines; just get into the habit of following good business practices.

In my SEO training course, I learned that getting an assortment of different links that link back to your website is a good habit to get into.  Not everyone links from the same place.  People mix it up a bit.  If you find a good forum or blog, make a comment on it and use your signature to tell others about your website.  You’ll find many that have good PR ranking.  I just love the ask/answer websites.  If you haven’t checked them out you should.

Some people go out and buy domain names and for those that do, buying the aged domains you can get more bang for your buck. But when you’re first starting out with an online campaign, the most important factor is getting links going back to your site.

I focus my websites by going after one particular target.  The keywords I pick are all related to each other in some way shape or forum.  I do extensive research.  When you veer into a more competitive niche, you have to come up with a different game plan that should be aggressive.

Have you ever set up a blog before?  If not, then you should.  Blogs have great ways of attracting the search engine spiders because of the different keywords that you can focus on with your article writing.  Concentrate on writing good quality articles.  They say that search engines are good to you when you focus on good content, but sometimes it is like that.  That is why your linking should be natural.  I think search engines link quality linking.

Linking is at the heart of each SEO marketing campaign.  You can follow things by the 80/20 rule.  80% of your search engine ranking will be coming from links and 20% of it will determine what you put on your website.

Search engines base their algorithms on research reports.  The more people you have that link to your reports saying that you’re important will bring you up in the ranks.  It all come down to who is the most popular, A or B.  It’s all about having the right links too, because this tells the search engines what your website is all about.

When you’re getting to the point where people are linking to your website naturally, there’s no way your going to get an exact match to the anchor text you want.  Go for one particular keyword and make sure that is in your URL.  These are just a few SEO techniques tips that I have.
