MLM Marketing

During the past 50 years, every so often, someone will walk up to you and ask you a couple of questions. It may be a friend or relative, but more recently, it may be a total stranger. In almost every case, your first thought is; “Oh, boy! Here comes the next pyramid scheme.” In the beginning, that was not the case, because no one had ever heard of this type of business. So, for those who still are not sure, here we go. Multi level Marketing MLM, here are a few success tips. The concept of MLM really started back in the 1950′s with Amway. Someone would invite you to their home and show you some unusual home cleaning products. The products were good, yet expensive, and the whole idea was simple. If you use these products and share them with your friends and relatives, they will buy them and you and everyone above you, in the MLM line, makes money. All the while, Amway is making a fortune because this was their advertising. So, they could afford to pay multiple lines of people a small percentage of the sale. First off all, realize that the legitimate companies that are marketing their products via an MLM are legally structured business models. Every company that directly sells their products/services to the end user is not a scam. Many of the companies trying to get you to spend your money with them may be scams, but the concept is legal and if worked properly, can offer many people an opportunity to make a lot of money. BUT THEY ARE NOT GET RICH SCHEMES! That being said, do not get into this industry if you think you can make millions overnight. And run as fast as you can away from anyone presenting this idea to you. If you research potential companies to get involved with, try out the products, to determine that they are of good quality, find that there is a compensation program that is good for all that get involved and the company has at least some kind of background success, then go for it. But do the right way! These are people that are still looking for a free lunch. Anytime they see a new concept, a new product, a better compensation plan, they are off! They will drop whatever they have been doing and move on to the next great deal! THIS IS A HUGE MISTAKE! And they continue to contact the same people that did not believe them the first hundred times they came to them, so now to your relatives and friends, you have become their mortal enemies! Every MLM company must sell something. If you get approached by someone telling you otherwise, that is a very quick way to get into trouble. By definition, you must sell something to be a legal MLM company. Assuming you have found one that you like, treat it as a real business, even if you just wish to do it part time. The first step is to try the products. Not for a day or two, because you are excited about your upcoming millions, but for a couple of months. Get a track record on how the company completes orders. Are all products in stock, or are things being back ordered? Does it take a long time to fulfill your orders or do you get timely deliveries? Do the products turn your skin green, or make you sick to your stomach, or is your skin soft and silky and your stomach is flatter than it was before you started? As you find customers that use and buy your products, regularly, then and only then, should you start discussing the business opportunity that is attached to your company. When you meet with them, you can explain that there is an opportunity to earn more money, later, but establish that they need to do what you are doing and that is building a small residual income by selling your products/services at retail. Everyone that you know and with the help of the Internet, total strangers can and should be included in this process. Do the math! If you want to earn $500 per month, how much must you sell to accomplish that? That part is simple. Just go do it. Get it to be consistent. This is good in a couple of ways. You will now have actual customers that, like you, are using the products. You make commissions on those sales and that is terrific. More importantly, before you go enroll every Tom, Dick and Harry that you can find, you will be testing the company out and getting reviews on the quality of the products. This is crucial! Once that is going, then and only then, should you embark on the next step of you business and start getting people to do the same thing that you just did. MLM’s are not defined as places that you can get rich quickly. They are business opportunities. Eliminate your fears. If you find a company that has some successful history, has great products/services, has a compensation plan that can earn you good money and is fair to the down line people, get in and give it a shot. But, make it a legitimate shot. If you decide to get into the direct selling industry, even if it is to be part time, then devote some time to it and do it properly. Build the retail base, get some happy customers and then build your mega company. Do it the same way the Bill Gates built Microsoft or the way that Ray Kroc built McDonalds. This will give you what you want out of the business and you will earn money, enjoy some time freedom and likely have some fun.
